Hummus is a Levantine dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. It is popular in the Middle East and Mediterranean, as well as in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe. It can also be found in most grocery stores in North America and Europe.
Add all the remaining ingredients and mix until well blended. You may add hot sauce if you want it hot.
Transfer in an airtight container and refrigerate for 2 hours.
After 2 hours, take out from the refrigerator and stir.
Take out just enough for your use and store the remaining mixture back in the refrigerator.
This is best when used as a dip or sauce for chips, on sandwiches, veggies or as an appetizer.
