Steps to cook

  • Step 1

    Place stock, garlic and 2 cups cold water in a saucepan over high heat. Cover. Bring to the boil. Add polenta. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring constantly, for 5 to 7 minutes or until polenta is thick.

  • Step 2

    Add cheese, pine nuts, basil, oregano, chives and cream. Season with salt and pepper. Serve.

Tips & variations

  • Budget tip: Replace pine nuts with walnuts (toasted, chopped) and save around $2.30 in total.

  • Serve with roast lamb or sausages.
